Dr. Caitlin Callahan is originally from the small town of Edgewater Park, New Jersey.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Ursinus College, outside Philadelphia. There, she was a member of the track & field team (hurdle/sprint events) and was actively involved in Lyme Disease research. Dr. Callahan received her veterinary degree from St. George's University in the beautiful Caribbean country of Grenada and completed her clinical training at NC State University.
While in vet school, Dr. Callahan enjoyed participating in 'One Health One Medicine' projects educating the public on zoonotic diseases and promoting happy healthy relationships between humans and their furry friends.
Dr. Callahan and her husband share their home with a grey muzzled Black Labrador named Abraham. She enjoys cooking in her free time and loves to explore the hiking, running, and bike trails around Richmond. Dr. Callahan has a special interest in dermatology, preventative medicine, and creating a fun, fear-free experience for you & your pets!
